The Movies have always been here. The Movies were here before God. Time is round like a reel of film. God hates the Movies because the Movies are the evidence of what He’s done.

70mm is a website devoted to the analysis of classic and contemporary cinema.

70mm is a specialty format for “a wide high-resolution film gauge for motion picture photography, with negative area nearly 3.5 times larger than the standard 35 mm motion picture film format.” (“70mm Film”) It is considered superior to a standard film projection because it projects more details and colors. Here at 70mm the website, I intend to go beyond standard analysis, focusing on the distinct colors and details that make up a motion picture. This will be the home of all my year end Top 10 lists going forward as other lists, features, essays, reviews, creative work, etc.
